So, Explain the House to me...

Our house is constantly in motion, bustling with so many moving parts. In case you've never been in the house, I'd like to explain to you what it looks like (or how it works). When I tell people that I live in community, they tend to respond with, "wow, it must be a big house," or "so, do you have your own kitchen?" The answer is yes. It is a big house. And, yes, we all have our own kitchens.

The house is comprised of six individual apartments, two per floor. There is one studio, two one bedrooms, one two bedroom, one three bedroom, and one five bedroom. The basement is comprised of my studio apartment and Rachel and Aneroy's one bedroom. We also have the luxury of living on the same level as the laundry room. The first floor is inhabited by the Keyzer's (Anna, Jon, Simon, Ishmael, June and the cats) in a three bedroom, and Roberto and his mom in a one bedroom. That leaves the third floor, where 7 of the 9 Schmeeckle's (Deb, Todd, Mikey, Amber, Asher, Jordyn and Abbi) and their friend Sarah live in a two-level, five bedroom apartment. Across the hall from them are Adam and BJ, our resident bachelors, in a two bedroom.

Obviously it's a big house. The picture doesn't do it justice. At some point we hope to do picture tours of all the apartments, until then I'll leave you with the description above and your imagination. Have a happy Wednesday and good rest of your week!
