items we need

Hi friends.  i told you in the last post that we are opening a transition house right across the alley from our house.  Right now we are renting to own it, so we are trying to fill it with parolees by the first of March, so that we don't waste any money (renters=being able to pay bills!!!)

SOOOOO  this time frame has us in a bit of a need for help.  could you help us?  We are having a painting day on Saturday Feb 20th from 10am-7pm (you could volunteer, anytime during that time slot).

We are also collecting these items to furnish the house:

We need 2 washers and 2 dryers

Kitchen:
-3 kitchen chairs

Main living room needs:
  -wall clock
-Dining room table that fits 6 to 8 people, still need 6 chairs
-larger couch, seats 3-4 people (we are matching to a tan/beige chair)
-another couch, seats 3 people (we are matching to a tan/beige chair)
-2-4 lamps, floor lamps would be preferable, others will require end table space. (again this room is full of fluorescent lighting, not very home like)
  -3 end tables

Small living room needs:
  -wall clock
  -small entertainment center
  -couch seats 3
  -loveseat/comfy chair
  -coffee table
-stand up lamp or 2 (we are asking for lamps because there are fluorescent lights throughout this house.)
  -end table?

Bedroom needs:
-Queen sized bed frame, either a platform one (for storage underneath) or plain frame with risers
-2 twin sized beds (we need all parts, the frames, mattresses and box springs)
-2 dressers

Entertainment/recreation needs:
-tv(s) 2 would be great, one for each living room
  -dvd players
  -roku box??
  -gaming systems?
  -ping pong table for basement
  -fuseball table for basement?

Outside:
-patio furniture (could wait until later, but a couple chairs at least for smokers would be nice)

Curtains:
(there are mini blinds in most places, but they do not block out light and are not creating a home like atmosphere. I have divided them into sets so that we can put matching curtains up in the rooms, meaning, each bedroom should have curtains that match each other . When I say “sets” I mean 2 panels. So 2 sets, means a total of 4 matching panels. I did not take the measurements on these windows, they seem fairly normal sized, meaning not old house HUGE, like the bolivar house, we have the ability to shorten curtains where they are needed, if someone want to purchase curtains and would like the exact sizes we can find those, for donated curtains we will MAKE them work, so too big is better than too small As I am writing this, it all seems complicated, if someone was to say, “I, will handle the windows, take measurements, collect curtains and hardware and get it done”, I would say, “GOD BLESS YOU!!!”)
-we will need HARDWARE for all of these….
  - 2 sets for small living room
-2 sets for bedroom, these are smaller windows
  -2 sets for bedroom
  -2 sets for another bedroom
  -2 sets for the kitchen
-the big bedroom needs 4 curtains, these will need to be shorter, as it is a slight bay window.
-the main living room, also has odd windows, so 4 shorter ones would be great.
(we have received 8 cream curtains, not sure where they go yet, but I am very happy to have       them...and any more that can be found!!!!)

If you would rather just donate financially to our cause, please contact Anna Keyzer, or you can give using the donate button at the top right hand side of this page.  Or you can mail a check to Anna Keyzer at 2740 R street Apt. 2 Lincoln Ne 68503.  (be sure to include a little note that the check is for the Transition House!!)  You will be giving to a 501 c3 so your donation may be tax deductible!

keep praying for us.  thanks!!!
