Hi, I'm Allison! I am originally from Omaha and moved to the house in July of 2014. I graduated from Concordia University NE with a Theology degree, writing minor, and a Director of Christian Education Certification with youth emphasis. Currently I work as a special education para in Lincoln. I also volunteer for a youth group at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lincoln, and enjoy spending my time writing in coffee shops, hanging out with friends and going to as many concert as I can. In the last two years I have traveled to Haiti three times with Jacob's Well, a local non-profit that you should really check out. I hope to go back again this summer.
I first heard about the house from my good friends Deb and Todd at church in 2011, where I was completing a practicum for school, and immediately fell in love with the idea of living in community (and, of course, all the great people in this community). God had a plan, and here I am five years later living in the house I grew attached to. I come from a close knit family, and don't think I could live alone if it weren't for community. I thrive around people. I started my journey in the house in a studio apartment in the basement, and now live in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor next to Jon and Anna.
